o Arrange for your club to pack shopping bags at your local supermarket, taking along a
collection bucket. Please contact the store to check arrangements.
o Collections
o Take collection buckets along to games and all club activities.
o Football Quiz nights- local pubs
o Download a quiz sheet from the internet and get the parents to compete in a monthly
quiz night to raise funds for the club.
o Fancy Dress football matches
o Arrange a fancy dress football match and sell tickets for the public to attend. You
could maybe speak to a local radio station and get some local celebrities to come
along and play and raise the profile.
o Car boot sales
o Invite all players, parents, coaches, etc to bring along items that they do not wish to
keep and sell them at a car boot sale.
o Football Scratch cards- available online
o Search online for football scratch cards. Players put in a pound to win the jackpot and
money also goes to the club.
o Sponsored run/bike rides/walk/swim
o Arrange a sponsored event and get players to ask parents, teachers, work colleagues,
friends to sponsor them.
o Filling up Smarties Tubes- 20ps (£12.60 per tube!!!)
o Give each player a smaties tube and ask them to save their 20p pieces. A full tube
can hold £12.60, with a squad of 15, that’s £189.
o Race Nights- info available online
o Search online for race night details. Parents and spectators bet on the winning horse
to win money and proceeds go to the club.
