Guidelines for Your Research Project on
Julius Caesar
This assignment is designed to help you become familiar with important historical
personalities while addressing Kentucky’s core content for seventh grade social studies. You
will be doing a presentation for the class on the life of Julius Caesar.
The medium of the presentation is your choice, but subject to Mr. Gulle’s approval. In the
past, students have created home-made educational films, costumed in-class skits, puppet
shows, songs, and many other things. Be creative. Use your natural talents and interests as
a means of educating your classmates and yourself.
Your finished project should demonstrate that you have an understanding of the following:
 Political power. What kind of political power did Julius Caesar have in Rome? What
was the form of government? What was the source of his power? Give examples of
some of Caesar’s accomplishments in Rome.
 Caesar’s Assassination. Explain how Caesar’s assassination affected the world of
that time. How was Rome different as a result? How did Rome’s history and form of
government change?
 A brief biography of Julius Caesar.
 Anything else you want to share!
