POLICE SEEK SUSPECT IN EARLY EVENING HOTEL ROBBERY
Vacaville police are looking for a man who robbed a local business
Monday evening and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
At 6:38 p.m. Monday police were dispatched to the 1400 block of
East Monte Vista Avenue regarding a robbery that had just occurred
at a business in that area.
Upon their arrival, officers learned that an unknown male suspect
had entered the lobby area of a hotel and asked the clerk how much
it would cost to rent a room for a week. While the clerk was checking
the pricing, the suspect placed a bag on the counter and told the
clerk, “Put all the money in the bag.”
The clerk complied by placing an undetermined amount of cash in
the bag. The suspect then told the clerk and a witness to get on the
floor and then fled the area in an unknown direction.
The suspect was described as a black male adult between 20- 27
years old, 5’-8” 175 lbs. with a medium build and wearing a green
camouflage jacket. No weapon was seen during this incident and no
one was injured.
This incident is currently under investigation. If anyone has any
information regarding this crime, they are encouraged to contact the
Vacaville PD at 449-5200.
