We interviewed him!
Q1:Congratulations! How did you feel when you received the notice of passing the JLPT N1?
A1:At first, I didn't feel it was real.
But when my classmates said to me “congratulations”, I was so happy because I felt like
all of my efforts were rewarded.
Q2:When did you start to study the Japanese language?
A2:I started in the summer of 2009.
I started studying the Japanese language at the Japanese Language School in China in
June 2009.
I studied there for 9 months before coming to Japan to study.
After that, I entered the 1 year course of the Japanese Department at TRIDENT in
April 2010. I graduated from this course in March 2011.
So, my length of study of the Japanese Language is 1 year and 9 months.
Q3:It is so great that you got a perfect score on the JLPT N1 level, even you have been
studying Japanese only for 1 year and 9 months!
How did you study for the JLPT N1 level after you entered Trident in April2010?
A3:For passing the JLPT N1 level, I always previewed the lesson to be studied in class and
memorized the words as best as I could.
Also, I looked up the words in the dictionary whenever I found ones I did not know.
Q4:Which lesson at Trident was useful for you?
A4:I think the reading lessons were the most useful for me.
We can learn the words and grammar which are necessary for mastering the Japanese
language from the reading lessons.
And as we continue improving our reading skills, we can enjoy it more and gradually
understand the nuances of words.
The conversation lessons were the next most important.
Language is a tool of communication. We can improve our Japanese skills naturally by
speaking it.
Q5:Where and what do you study now?
A5:Now, I’m studying English in the English language department at Trident College of
Languages and Hotel.
Proficiency in English is important these days.
I entered the English language department because I wanted to learn English after
Japanese.
Q6:What is your next goal or your dream for the future?
A6:Now my target in the near future is getting a score of 700 on the TOEIC test.
I’m studying hard every day to achieve this target.
Then, I want to study architecture at a national university in Japan.
I know it will be hard to make this dream come true, but I’ll to do my best.
Thank you so much, Mr. Wu.
It is so wonderful that Mr. Wu Guang Ping received a perfect score on the JLPT N1 level
even though he studied the Japanese language for less than 2 years!
The fact that he studied so hard and gave it his all to reach his goal is very admirable!
Please do your best to achieve your goal!
We believe that Mr. Wu Guang Ping can make his dream come true because he is a
hardworking person.
We are looking forward to seeing him in the future.
