Victoria Senior Men’s Golf Club Scholarship Program Mission Statement
To instill in our junior golfers the great qualities associated with the
game of golf. Primarily, honesty and respect for their fellow players,
as well as for the “rules of the game”. These are characteristics that
will serve them well as they move on in life.
The working world that we are experiencing today is becoming
increasingly more complex and sophisticated, making the need for
“Advanced Education or Specialized Training” a necessity for young
people to succeed. It is for this reason that Victoria Senior Men’s
Golf Club has established a scholarship program as a “Living Legacy”
as part of the Victoria Gold Course 100th Anniversary celebration.
Each year, beginning in 2007, a deserving junior player from the
River Valley Junior
Golf program will be awarded a $1,000.00 scholarship to be
used in pursuit of Advanced Education or an Apprenticeship
Program. This will be our way to help enrich the prospects of
a better education for an upcoming high school graduate.
