NIAHD Pre-College Summer Program in Early American History
Location: The College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, VA
 3-week sessions: June 25-July 15, July 16-August 5, 2017
 If you are at least a sophomore in high school, you have an opportunity this summer to travel
back in time to discover early America in a unique hands-on way.
 Participants in the W&M Pre-College Program are enrolled as non-degree seeking students at
the College of William & Mary. They earn 4 academic credits taking one of two history
courses: HIST 217 or HIST 218. They live together in an air-conditioned dormitory on the
College of William and Mary campus and take their meals in campus dining facilities. Tuition,
dorm room, and meals are all covered in the cost of the program.

University of Alabama Summer Programs

Athletic Camps - The University of Alabama offers camps for 16 varsity sports (football, men's
and women's basketball, baseball, soccer, volleyball, softball, men's and women's track, men's
and women's swimming, gymnastics, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's golf, and
cheerleading). The camps are held on various dates, June through July.
Athletic Training Camp (July 9, 2017, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) - The University of Alabama Jr. High
and High School Athletic Training Student Aide Camp Staff invites you to learn about athletic
training from the athletic trainers who provide medical care to some of the best athletes in the
nation! The camp is designed for junior high and high school students who are interested in

Pratt Institute’s PreCollege Program

 July 5-28, 2017
 Each summer, Pratt Institute’s PreCollege program welcomes over 400 high school sophomores,
juniors, and seniors to our Brooklyn campus for nearly a month, where they encounter life as an
art and design college student. Students choose a major focus modeled after Pratt's
undergraduate offerings. To complement this chosen major, students are automatically enrolled
in foundation, art history, and portfolio development classes. Upon completion of the program,
students earn four elective college credits.

SCAD Summer Programs

 SCAD Summer Seminars offer workshops for high school students who have completed their
freshman, sophomore or junior years. Students gain valuable educational experience while
developing their creative vision through exciting art and design assignments and projects.
 Students attend two workshops (one workshop in Hong Kong) and have an all-access pass to the
university’s extensive facilities, resources and libraries. Workshops may include demonstrations,
lectures, studio work and local field trips, and are taught by SCAD professors, alumni or select
graduate students. To provide maximum individual attention and collaborative interaction
between students and instructors, class size is small, with generally 15 or fewer students in each
workshop. Organized daily social and cultural activities create an authentic experience of life as
a SCAD student in the city. A closing exhibition of student work is held at the end of each
