2013 Elite Men C Fred Joslyn is one of the most accomplished and known Stotan Racing runners. Joslyn, a 2007 Division 3 National Champion while at SUNY Cortland is also a 2012 Olympic Marathon Trials qualifier and participate. Joslyn qualified for the Olympic Trials while setting his personal best in the Marathon by winning the New Orleans Mardi Gras Rock N Roll Marathon with a time of 2:18:49 back in February of 2011. Joslyn also set a Half Marathon personal best in September of 2011 at the Philadelphia Rock N Roll Half Marathon with a time of 1:04:37. Your favorite and defending Empire State Marathon Champion, Sam Morse of Camden, NY runs for Stotan Racing and recently set his personal best for the Half Marathon with a time 1:07:04 en-route to winning the Lake Effect Half Marathon on February 24. Morse won the Johnny’s running of the Green 5 mile in Rochester, NY last weekend with a time of 24:25. He has been on fire in 2013 and if he runs his race, he will be hard to beat. Jared Burdick will also compete this Sunday at the Syracuse Half Marathon. Burdick has a personal best in the Marathon with a time of 2:20:23 which he ran in October of 2012 at the ING Hartford Marathon. Burdick recently ran 1:08:22 and finished 15th at the New Orleans Mardi Gras Rock N Roll Half Marathon. Sam M ors e Andrew Foxenberg finished 2nd to Morse last weekend at Johnny’s 5 mile with a time of 24:44. Foxenberg has a personal best in the Half Marathon with a time of 1:06:27 which he set in March of 2012 at the Virginia Beach Shamrock Half Marathon. Kevin Collins is a 42 year old master’s phenom who will undoubtedly contend for the overall title if he toes the line on Sunday. Collins recently ran a World Class Master’s time of 1:09:03 at the Lake Effect Half Marathon just last month. In 2003, he was second in the U.S. Marathon Championships and the first American finisher in the World Cup Marathon in Paris. Collins has been referred to as Peter Pan as he never shows his age. Dave Rappleyea, a native of Buffalo, NY who lives in Rochester, NY will be a strong competitor this weekend. Rappleyea finished 3rd at the Empire State Half Marathon last fall with a time of 1:10:21. Rappleyea also has a Half Marathon personal best of 1:09:43 which he set in 2011 at the Rochester Half Marathon and a 2:29:19 Marathon personal best which he set last November at the Anthem Richmond Marathon. Cole Crosby of Cortland, NY finished 5th last year at the Empire State Half with a time of 1:10:45 Patrick Geoghegan had a strong post collegiate road racing season last year by finishing 9th at the Buffalo Subaru 4mile with a time of 19:22, a 5th place finish at the Bergen 5km with a time of 14:56, and a 4th place finish with a time of 1:09:40 at the Bread Run Half Marathon. Scott Ulberg of Syracuse, NY won the 2012 Empire State Marathon with a time of 2:38:49 Chris Raulli of North Syracuse, NY has personal bests of 1:09:26 for the Half and 2:33:04 for for full marathon.
