March 7th through the 11th is Classified Appreciation Week and our District is fortunate to have a great team of educational support professionals who are dedicated to helping our district succeed. These individuals are valued for the outstanding job that they do each and every
day. Their roles range from maintenance, custodial, food service and office staff to those who work in the classrooms providing an extra set of

Clark County Jazz Festival ~
SW WA Regional Solo & Ensemble Competitions
Results of the SW WA
Regional Solo & Ensemble festival in
Longview on February
6, 2016: 26 entries
performed in grades
6th thru 12th and all
gave great performances. All entries either
received a superior or Jazz band performance at the Clark County Jazz Festival.

Robert Case, a senior in the Adna High
School Band, did an outstanding job and secured a spot with his clarinet to compete in
the WIAA/WMEA State Solo and Ensemble
Contest in Ellensburg April 29th and 30th.

Drivers Ed- Adna High School is offering a traffic safety
education course this coming spring. The 2016 course will begin
in May and continue through June. Class time is from 7:00am to
8:00am, Monday thru Friday. A minimum of 25 students is needed to offer
the course. Students turning 15 years old
before May 1st are eligible to register.
Registration is online and the cost is
$390.00. A link to the course registration

Adna Pirates Robotics
The Adna Pirates Robotics FRC Team 5748 recently joined
W.F. West High School's Robotics Team 4060 SWAG in
meeting with Rep. Richard DeBolt. They also met with Rep.
J.D. Rossetti and Rep. Ed Orcutt, and staff from Sen. John
Braun's office. From there they attended a rally to support
FIRSTRobotics and STEM education, and to thank lawmakers for their support. It was a busy, fun, educational day!

Donations for the auction need to be dropped off at the school by Wednesday March 16, 2016.

Checks for donations need to be made to “Adna Scholarship Foundation” or “ASF” with “In
memory of” or fund name on the memo line.

The Auction will be celebrating 27 years at this year’s dinner on March 19, 2016.

To start a new memorial fund you need to first contact the foundation through the district
office at 360-748-0362
Adna Scholarship Application
Did you know that ASF doesn't award out scholarships just to college bound
students? We also award scholarships for vocational training and apprenticeships.
This year's scholarship application for graduating Adna seniors will become
available on March 1, 2016. The application will be posted on the Adna Middle/High School website.
Dinner Auction Best Dress Table Contest
Back by popular demand, the ASF committee will vote on and award a prize to the best dressed table.
So start gathering those creative ideas that will compliment this year’s “Red Carpet” theme. Tickets
are available to pick up at all the district offices. For additional information please contact LeeAnn

Throughout the school year, we like to take pictures of our students participating in various school
activities. Often we publish these pictures as a means of sharing with the community what goes on in
our schools. Such publications include, but are not restricted to, the Adna School District newsletter,
