Preselection
All willing members will be delegates as well. However, ifthere are more delegates than
available spots, a series of evaluations will take place to determine those who will be on the team
and the alternates. This preselection will occur once the school has been registered for a
conference and has been assigned a country. Firstly, those who wish to become delegates need to
take a 10 question quiz about the presented material. Afterwards there will be interviews held by
the Co-Presidents and Treasurer to determine the intentions and qualifications of each
prospective delegate. The prospective delegates.will also need to participate in a debate exercise
which will be counted towards their results. Finally the delegates will need to write a short twoparagraph personal position paper on a real world problem. All the results (measured on a scale
from 1-10) from all the tests will be averaged and based on this average the officers will
determine the top 10 delegates that will be part of the team. The members who do not make the
team will not be discarded from the club. They will be able to make the team if they show a
greater commitment than selected delegates, or in case a spot opens up. More so, all members of
the club not just delegates will be responsible for participating and holding forums and
presentations to raise awareness of international affairs on campus.
