The meeting was called to order at 17:00 by Bernhard Trenkle, Chair of the COR. He noted
that this was the first time in many years that the ISH had a general membership meeting
and he was glad the reps had come to learn about the ISH.
Gail and Bernhard did a role call of all attendees.
Montreal
Bernhard discussed the 2018 ISH meeting in Montreal. It was brought up that not everyone
can pay the full amount for Montreal, but Bernhard assured everyone that there will be a
solution like in Bremen and Paris
2021 Congress Bidding
Bernhard went over the bidding procedure for the next triennial congress and packets with all
the information needed to bid on the congress were passed out to everyone. [Please see
Addendum I for more information.]
New Constituent Society
Bernhard introduced the Chinese Academy of Hypnosis the newly formed hypnosis society
from China. Xin Fang, Director of the center of psychological counseling and
psychotherapy of Peking University spoke on behalf of the society, saying they are very
happy to be a part of ISH, and thankful for Bernhard and all the help they received from him
to create the society.
Bremen COR Meeting Minutes
The minutes from Bremen were unanimously approved.
COR President Report
Bernhard spoke about the different rules and laws in regard to psychotherapy and hypnosis
in different countries and how it makes it hard to define clear rules which can be valid and
acceptable for all.
He also thanked the current ISH Board of Directors, noting that they have done a wonderful
job, and were a great group to work with.
Bernhard and several ISH and ESH BOD members went to the recent, and successful,
Iranian congress. Kris Klajs from Poland there suggested a First Asian Congress as a way
to reconnect with colleagues in previously Soviet countries and other Asian countries which

do not have a Constituent Society and that can’t afford to go to Montreal or Paris. This
congress is planned for May 23-25 2019 in Iran.
President’s Report
Julie discussed the current state of ISH, noting that we are financially stable, and that
membership is growing. She had given a detailed report to the general membership and
many COR reps prior to the COR meeting. She asked that all Constituent Societies visit our
website to see their information listed there, and reminded everyone that one of the benefits
of being a CS of ISH is being able to list information on the Events Calendar.
Secretary Treasurer Report
Mark went over the ISH finances, noting that we are in a stable position. He briefly went over
the Auditors report and agreed to send it to the whole COR so they can review the finances
themselves. [Please see Addendum II]
Chair Nominations
Claude Virot went over the election process for the officers of the ISH. Camillo Loriedo was
the chair of that election process. Everyone was given information on how nominations and
elections work. [Please see Addendum III]. He reminded everyone that Mark was elected as
Secretary Treasurer for a second term, and Bernhard was elected as President-Elect, his
term as president will be from 2018-2021.
Paris Congress Report
Claude Virot gave the report on Paris. We had more than 2400 registrants, which is a new
record for ISH.
All keynotes and lectures will be posted on the website.
They paid $80,000 USD for translations alone, and had many volunteers. The congress
committee already paid $20,000 USD to ISH, and they anticipate they will have another
$60,000 USD more to give to ISH.
Claude said that he hopes that Franck, who was a part of the congress committee and an
ISH Board member, will be re-elected to the COR, so that Franck can continue to help
Claude during his presidency.
Gunnar took a moment to thank Claude for recognizing the speakers by giving them free
admission to the Welcome Party on the Seine.
COR Election
The minutes or the COR election was reported on the COR letter joined
