“IL BLOG DELLA 3A” can speak F r I E n d l i s h La condivisione di tre percorsi: un progetto di corrispondenza e scambio con studenti francesi, lo studio delle lingue che ci apre al mondo e un blog di classe. Da tutto questo è nato questo nostro piccolo diario di viaggio Last week our French pen-friends arrived and stayed in Italy one week. On Sunday morning at 11 o'clock she arrived in Orta with her class and her teachers. They travelled from Bastia to Genova by boat and then by bus. Unfortunately the sky was cloudy but it didn't rain. When I was waiting my pen-friend I was very happy and nervous. The first question I asked her was " HOW ARE YOU? ". In the afternoon we visited Orta and then we went home. On Monday everybody went to the Sacro Monte of Orta and then we went to the isle of Orta. On Thursday we stayed at school: after we visited Armeno with our teachers we went walking in Armeno and we ate an ice cream. On Wednesday we went to Torino on a school trip. We had a lot of fun with teachers and pen-friends. On Thursday and Friday we stayed at school and we did more activities all together: we didn't have regular lessons... we prepared some materials and made a video and we wrote letters and cards in Italian and French. IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL WEEK! Posted by Silvia Giulia and Tommaso Last Sunday we met our French pen-friends. They arrived in Orta at 11 o’clock. We all were very nervous: we have written letters to them since last year and finally we met them. We were waiting for them!! IT’S BEEN A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!! We visited Orta, Torino and some families went to Milan. On Friday night we had a pizza party in Orta. We ate pizza (our pen-friends loved it!!!) and danced till midnight. We had a lot of fun!!! On Sunday morning they left back home: we were all very sad!! We will meet them again very soon: we are travelling to Corsica on next 17 May. We will spend there a whole week…...we are so excited!!!! Posted by Matilde V. Matilde I. Beatrice On April 3 we met our French pen-friends for the first time. They arrived at 11 o'clock in Orta San Giulio. The weather was cloudy but at least it wasn't raining. While we were waiting for them we were very nervous: after nearly two year of messages and letters, we were going to meet them!!!!! It has been a wonderful experience! We have improved our speaking skills and we had fun! We spoke French and Italian so it was not so difficult to communicate. We visited Orta, Turin and on Saturday we went to Milan: we went shopping!! We enjoyed this week because we met new nice people: We are sorry we will not go to Corsica to meet them again. Posted by Asia and Beatrice The French group arrived on Sunday 3 April but I met my pen-friend on the following Monday because I didn't go to the meeting. My classmates told me about it. I met him at school and while I was waiting for him I was very nervous: I couldn't wait to meet him!! I spoke with him for a long time, he was very nice and kind. He was tall and thin and had short brown hair. He spent a whole week in Italy. It's been funny! we visited the "Mole Antonelliana" in Turin and the "Sacro Monte" in Orta. I spoke with him in French or Italian so it was very easy to understand each other. My parents think this project is very important and this experience will help me in the future. I think that it has been a special and important moment in my life and I will remember it forever Posted by Leonardo It was on April 3 late morning when our French pen-friends arrived in Orta. We met them and they immediately joined their host families. The day after (Monday) we went to Orta and visited the "Sacro Monte" and the isle of St. Giulio: in the afternoon we played mini-golf, volleyball and football. On Tuesday we went to school and our friends joined our lessons: they were special lesson as we worked on a documentary. On Wednesday we went to Turin on a school trip: we visited the Museum of cinema and the Mole Antonelliana. On Thursday and Friday we had some laboratories at school: Maths, Geography, English and we also prepared some beautiful posters for our school. We also celebrated some birthdays. On Friday night we had a pizza party in Orta and our friends left on Sunday early morning. I think it was great to meet them. Posted by Sara On 17th May we travelled to Bastia in Corsica with the school, for a cultural excange. Last year we started to write letters in French to our pen-friends in Bastia and this year we met them. We stayed there for one week, and we saw a lot of beautiful landscapes and towns. The last day before leaving, we went to Bonifacio, a beautiful small town in the South of Corsica. It It is on the coast and you can see Sardinia from there. The sea is fantastic and very clear, you can see the seabed with some fish. When we arrived there, we walked the paths on the coast and we took many pictures of the sea landscape. In the afternoon we visited the town and we went shopping: we bought a lot of things and it was great fun. We should have gone to Lavezzi's island but it was too windy and we couldn’t go there by boat. I loved this beautiful town. Posted by Sara (3B) I think this experience is the most beautiful of my life, because I visited Corsica, I met new friends, Italian and French, and I improved my French. The best thing of this week is the trip to Bonifacio. We went to Bonifacio on 22nd May. Bonifacio is a small town next to the sea, and I love it for this. We arrived in Bonifacio in the morning, and we walked a path before reaching the place overlooking the sea. We had a picnic there. We couldn’t visit Lavezzi Islands, but we spent the afternoon wandering around . In the afternoon I stayed with my new Italian friends like Giulia and Giorgia. This week has been one of the best in my life because I had so much fun and met many great people. For this week I would like to thank all the teachers, especially teacher Vella, who made us enjoy this nice experience. Posted by Giada (3B) My name's is Giada and I attend the last year of the lower secondary school. On Tuesday May 17th I travelled to Corsica with my schoolmates to meet our French pen-friends. We travelled by bus and by boat and when we arrived on Tuesday evening we met our pen-friends' families and went home with them. The following day we visited the town hall and then we went to their school and had some lessons. On Thursday we went on a boat trip from Calvi to Scandola: we saw many islands and rocks from the boat. On the way back a lot of our schoolmates felt sick but fortunately I was very well. On Friday we went to school and had volleyball tournaments. In the afternoon we were divided into groups by the teachers and we played an orienteringaì game around Bastia . In the evening we came back to school and our pen-friends' parents had prepared a lot of good food and we ate in the schoolcourtyard . That evening I went to the house of another correspondent: Estelle. On Saturday we went to the park with my pen-friends and some friends of them and we played football. Then we went shopping . In the evening they had organized a party for our arrival , on Sunday I had lunch with my pen-friend's parents and then we spent the afternoon to the beach with friends. Monday was the last day and we went to Bonifacio . We didn't take the boat because it was too windy but it was beautiful anyway. On Tuesday we returned to Italy. It was a fantastic experience. Posted by Giada (3B) One week in Corsica: discovering and learning I miss Corsica. My friends are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place. The countryside is very dramatic and I love the rocky mountains and the warm blue sea. This was my first trip to Corsica and I can’t wait to come back again. I’d like to say a big thank you to all the people I met, who made this trip so memorable, especially all our pendriends, their families and the teachers. I will never forget the white cliffs in Bonifacio and the red mountains in Calvi. It was really good to speak French in a real life situation instead of the classroom and to discover useful vocabulary by chatting with our hosts. The trip was too short and I wish I could have stayed longer to see more, learn more and speak more French. Posted by Barbara
