Dimensions
Eight inch commercial down light rated for use with one ceramic metal halide lamp driven by
solid state electronic ballast for improved efficiency, color rendering, and color maintenance.

Architectural quality 0.050 galvanized steel ring riveted to elevated 0.064 steel junction box
and ballast tray.
Clearance
Non-IC housings require a minimum clearance of 3" around from thermal insulation and 1/2"
from combustible material from above the fixture.
Socket Cup
Socket cup adjusts vertically for optimum light performance. Die-cast fin construction for
heat dissipation.

Socket
Porcelain 4KV pulse rated medium screw base socket.
Bar Hangers
Two 13-3/4" to 24-1/2" adjustable bar hangers with captive nails are included on frame. Bar
hangers are parallel to junction box, but can be repositioned 90º perpendicular to junction box
if desired. "L" Shaped bar hanger foot to align to bottom of construction joist. A T-Bar notch
allow for easy installation in a suspended ceiling.
Junction Box
Plast frame integrated 29 cubic inch 0.064" thick galvanized steel, with seven 1/2"
knockouts, four pryouts, and snap on cover. Electrical connections are made through a single
junction box door. Green wire provided for installations with ground wire fed through PVC
pipe conduit.
Thermal Protector
External thermal device is located on the junction box wrap.

Lamp must meet ANSI Lamp Type of ballast: M/C90, M/C140, M/C164

QUARTZ RESTRIKE OPTION
Quartz T4 double contact bayone base lamp (not included) to provide light continously during
cold start or hot restrike until the HID lamp is at approximately 70% or more its rated light

Note: 60W Quartz lamp can only be used with 100W ED17 lamp.
