CAUTION: HARMFUL
Harmful by inhalation and if swallowed. Keep locked up and out of the reach of children. Avoid
contact with eyes. In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately
(show the label where possible).
Refrigerate, Do Not Freeze! Poison–External Use Only!
1. Replace cap securely to prevent dehydration of discs. Discs that lose water will diminish
in size.
2. PILOGEL discs that have been frozen or that are cracked must not be used. NOTE: The discs
are interchangeable with respect to electrodes. Sweat stimulation occurs at the site of the
positive (red) electrode.
3. DISCS INTENDED FOR SINGLE USE ONLY.
EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE

May cause irritation.

May cause irritation.
Ingestion
May cause abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, irregular pulse, profuse
sweating, salivation, confusion and convulsions. Ingestion of several discs
may be followed by slow respiration, weakness, and death by paralysis of the
heart of lung edema.

The major hazard arises from the Pilocarpine Nitrate, a poisonous alkaloid,
which in pure form is dangerous in doses above roughly 20mg.

The discs contain an organic solid (Pilocarpine Nitrate) which will burn at
elevated temperatures, but due to the low concentration the product is
considered non-flammable. As precautionary measure, wear self-contained
breathing apparatus with full facepiece when fighting fires in the area.
