Steve Harvey Morning Show
Steve Harvey Morning Show
Throughout his television success, Harvey never lost sight of his true passion for stand-up
comedy. The immediate success of the Kings of Comedy tour led to the taping of one of
the most successful comedy DVDs in history – “The Original Kings of Comedy” – directed
by Spike Lee. Currently Harvey hosts the nationally syndicated Steve Harvey Morning
Show, which airs in over 60 markets and has over 7 million listeners from 6-10 AM EST.
The morning show has also allowed him to share relationship advice with his listeners
through the “Strawberry Letter” segment, where he responds to relationship questions.
This segment’s popularity led to a book deal with Harper Collins.
Chris Boyd has been with MIX 92.3 for 19 years. Starting off as a promotion assistant
and working my way up to Morning Show Producer for Geno Jones in The Morning, to
Tom Joyner. Chris is the local talent that keeps listeners informed with up to the minute
News, Traffic and Weather throughout the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Chris also does
weekends 2-7p on Saturdays. Chris is a graduate of Michigan State University and Specs
Howard. Chris enjoys movies, great restaurants and sports.

WMXD welcomed its newest voice, award-winning gospel singer and reality TV star, Kierra Sheard on March 30,
2014. The newest BET “Sunday Best” judge is featured every Sunday from 7:30-10:00AM.
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, fans have literally watched her grow up in the industry from a much-talked about
young prodigy of a legendary Gospel family (Kierra is the daughter of Karen Clark Sheard, member of gospel group
the Clark Sisters) to today’s chic, bold and purposed young woman. Kierra presents a grown-up style, a sound and
spiritual perspective that is all her own.
Kierra took her signature family sound to a new level when she took on the role of BET “Celebration of Gospel”
correspondent in March 2013. Sheard’s performance brought recognition from EEW magazine who observed that she
would thrive in “a job as an entertainment correspondent.” WMXD is thrilled to call Sheard’s talent and personality a
part of the family!
