always been known to be the first step to unlocking the crops ability to utilize nutrients and control pests.

Hi-Mag lime.
Risser Grain has experienced a positive correlation of applying higher rates of potassium and sulfur
to produce higher yields. We now consider crop removal of Potash to be 90-120 units/acre. With an
additional 25-30 units of Sulphur/acre, you can then match nitrogen application to the intended yield goal.
Weather permitting you should experience optimum yields at efficient costs.
Pop-up fertilizers have become the planter fertilizer of choice. The key ingredient to germination is
Phosphorus. The most cost efficient planting application of Phosphorus is 5 gallons of 10-34-0 directly with
the seed. This is a known seed safe rate which will effectively provide 20 units of phosphorous/acre, more
than any “high end” type pop-up program.
NEW for 2016, we will be using YaraVita Procote liquid Zinc and Boron in our dry fertilizer blends.
This liquid impregnation will provide an even distribution of micros to increase effectiveness. The cost of
these products is similar to granular Zinc and Boron but will prove to be 15x more available.
