January 2017 / December 2017 Snow Shoe Gun Club Rules You must lock the gate upon entering and exiting, except when the range is open to the public. Check the message box or gate tags for events that may require the gate be left open. The rifle and pistol ranges can be used for handgun, rifle, shotgun and submachine guns. The clays range may only be used with shotguns with birdshot, # 6 or smaller, no slugs, rifles or handguns. Observe all posted range rules. Scheduled events have priority over other range use. No alcohol is allowed on the range. Keep your speed under 20 mph on all roads. Eye and ear protection required for all shooters and spectators. Please clean up after yourself, use the burn barrels or dumpsters for your trash. No glass or tannerite allowed. Use common sense and constant attention to firearm safety at all times. At the rifle range, the range is cold when the red strobes are flashing. All actions must be open and magazines removed. NO ONE MAY HANDLE FIREARMS WHEN THE RANGE IS COLD. Before making the range hot, POSITIVELY VERIFY NO ONE IS DOWNRANGE. Do not loan your key to anyone, no exceptions. Club members may bring guests, however you are responsible for their actions. Have your membership card with you as Range Safety Officers will check, please cooperate. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and are responsible for their actions and safety. Wildlife have the right of way unless in season and hunter is licensed. Bring your own targets and stands to the pistol bays. No pallets allowed as target stands. Do not use the tables or spools for target stands. Do not climb on the berms at the pistol range. Report any vandalism or unsafe gun handling to a RSO or any club officer.
