CE Undergraduate Degrees completed under my supervision
I served as a main advisor and committee member for more than 20 theses and professional practices
for undergraduate students in Panama from 2001 to 2003 and from 2006 to 2007. Professional
practices are composed of a six-month internship experience and a final report, which provides details

A participation grant for junior faculty interested in deepen their interest in construction engineering.
Faculty members contribute their expertise by serving as host to the non-construction researchers

CM William Duff Architects Speakers series, $1,200, 2014
The Seminar series is funded by the William Duff Architects of San Francisco, California. Mr. Duff
received his Master of Science in Industrial Sciences from CSU in 1994. This stipend was giving to
the USGBC and DBIA Clubs to organize a seminar with significant impact on advancing
construction education and leadership.

Clemson Faculty Scholar, $750, 2013 and 2014.
This award was provided for my one-week visit to Clemson University to disseminate and exchange
knowledge with other researchers and graduate students working in sustainable construction topics. I
was also invited to participate in scientific meetings to provide a cross-cultural and national
perspective.
National recipient of the ACI Memorial Scholarship, 2013.
This scholarship allows to recipients to attend the ACI National Home Performance Conference,
which aims to ensure every home is energy-efficient, durable, comfortable, healthy, and safe. The
2013 ACI National Home Performance Conference was held April 30 to May 3 in Denver, CO.
