3.What are desert landscapes like?
Desert landscapes.
The lack of water makes vegetation and animal life scarce. However, some species,
such as cacti and camels, have adapted to dry conditions. Date palms grow near
oases in moist areas of the desert.
Desert are almost uninhabited. However, some nomads live in desert, such as the
Tuaregs in the Sahara and the Mongols in the Gobi. Some towns have developed in
deserts around the oil and natural gas industries.
