our vocabulary, helps to explore new things and enhance our writing. Read the novel “Kim”
written by Rudyard Kipling and write a review of the novel under the given heads:

thing, for a thesaurus gives us synonyms and antonyms of each word. In order to make our
writing interesting our vocabulary must be good. Hence let us find different ways of saying

A tan gram is an ancient Chinese puzzle consisting of 7 geometric shapes. Make a tan gram
kit and using that kit make 5 pictures in your scrap book. Try to make the shapes as

imaginative and the pictures as colourful as possible. Use innovative material for the
pictures. The cover page of the scrap book should be designed using tan gram concept.

 Record the following activities in your Science activity file.

a) Read the chapter – ‘Sorting material into groups’ and ‘Separation of Substances’ and
prepare 10 M.C.Q. from each chapter.
b) Read the chapter ‘Changes around us and Living and Non Living’ and prepare a
crossword puzzle (5 across; 5 downwards) from each chapter using scientific terms.

Do a survey on units of measurements and the related measuring instruments. Draw or
paste the pictures of measuring instruments and complete the following table:

Make a list of food items used at home. Categorise them on the basis of their nutrient
content as healthy food (energy giving body building and protective food) and unhealthy
food (fried and greasy food). Prepare a collage on it.
 Activity: 4 (Wonder world of Science)
Collect the following materials  dried fallen leaves, small stones, oil, paper pieces,
iron nails and a wooden piece. Take those materials in a beaker containing water and
observe carefully whether each of the given material floats or sinks in water. Classify
them as floating materials or sinking materials.
SOCIAL SCIENCES
 India is facing scarcity of water and its impact can be seen not only on humans but also on flora
and fauna. If there will be no water there will be no life. Keeping the above concept in mind
prepare article / poster / slogans for school magazine on A3 size sheet. Let your article / poster /
slogan be so catchy that it attracts people towards this worldwide problem.
FRENCH
 Prepare a small conversation in which someone is taking your interview or questioning you
about yourself (use the vocabulary that you have learned till now)
 Prepare a conversation between two classmates one of them is new admission (in writing
and oral both).
