Our Working Bee on Monday was a wonderful success, with all students, staff and many
willing parents spreading mulch in many of the garden areas, and doing other general garden tasks. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to help out with this important work.

Meet the Teacher
Our second session is tonight Thursday 23rd February,
3:45pm – 6:30pm. I would like to thank the teachers and
families for taking this time to build the relationship between home and school. This partnership is vital to the
growth and development of our learners.
2017 School Council Nominations close tomorrow
We are seeking nominations for school council in 2017. If
you would like to contribute to the school by being a part
of the council please collect a nomination form from the
office. Nominations are to be lodged no later than 4pm
Friday 24th February.
Working Bee
Thank you to the 32 parents and teachers who volunteered their time to our working bee on Monday afternoon. The school is looking magnificent. Our next working bee is Saturday March 18, 9am – 12noon. Even if
you can spare an hour it will be greatly appreciated. We
do need wheel barrows and trailers so we can move
some of the mulch around the school.
School times
We have a number of children being dropped at school
before the times of supervision. Children should not arrive at school until 8:45am when teachers are supervising
the yard. In the afternoon the yard is supervised from
3:30pm – 3:45pm. Children should not be at school outside of these times unless they are supervised by a caregiver or parent. If you require child care before or after
school Kids Zone operates an excellent Out of School
Care program.
Semper Dental
We have had a wonderful response to the Semper Dental program. The dental program will take place on the 6th
and 7th of March. Semper Dental will be in touch with you.
Permission forms are due back on 1st March.
sessions. These sessions are an essential part of our
compliance with the Department Child Safety Regulations
and our school policies.
Clear Consequences
Over the last few months the students and staff have
worked on out Clear Consequences Document. This document was presented to and accepted by school council
last week. The Clear Consequences chart is displayed
around the school and is used with the children if issues
arise. The document is attached for your information.
Please discuss this document with your children. We welcome all feedback positive and constructive as we adopt
this guide to supporting positive school wide behaviours.
The skills enabling our values and vision to live are
still the You Can Do It Keys: Resilience, Persistence,
Getting Along, Organisation and Confidence and
We have a picture in our mind of how we would like to
present these 3 layers and we are hoping we may have a
parent who has graphic design skills to assist in developing this image. If you can help please contact the office.
Our new motto “Dare to be Excellent” has already begun
to be used across the school.
We are very excited by our revamped vision, values and
motto as they reflect the aspirations our current community has for our learners. Please let us know what you
think of the final vision, values and motto which have
been created from our review work in 2016. Feedback
can be delivered in person, via the school email or at Coffee, Cake and Conversation sessions.
The vision, values and motto will be discussed at the next
Coffee, Cake and Conversation sessions on Wednesday
1st March 9am – 10 am and Thursday 2nd March 2:30pm3:30pm.
Enjoy your child’s learning journey,
