This week on Wednesday’s Child, we are revisiting a sister set who,
while not close in age, are close at heart. Selena was born in 1995
and Breyanna in 2002. Even though Selena is nearing the age of
majority, we are looking for a family that will be there for both girls
and keep them connected.
So while thinking of their futures, we also were reminded that the
girls share a beautiful smile and an interest in style – and knew they
would enjoy a day of “fashion-forward” exploring! Thankfully a longtime Wednesday’s Child partner and LA fashion designer,
Kelly Nishimoto, was available to give the girls an inside look at
fashion design and style consulting.
Both girls tend to be soft spoken but quite engaging. And just like it
takes inspiration, support, and perseverance to take a fashion idea
from a concept to a sketch on paper and then all the way to a
finished product, these girls need someone who envisions being part
of the girls’ lives and has what it takes to be committed to giving
them the support and encouragement they need to be their best
selves as they continue along life’s journey.
Younger sister Breyanna doesn’t know what she wants to be when
she grows up and recognizes the beauty in taking one’s time to think
and dream about the possibilities. Meanwhile, Selena is starting to
consider a military career and college – but is very mindful and
desirous of remaining a part of Breyanna’s life in every way possible.
As the older sister, Selena has expressed that – while she would like
to have a forever family – she is more concerned about her little
sister finding one and doesn’t want to be a barrier to such.
Our goal is to find a family who will welcome both sisters in and be
committed to maintaining their connection with each other. To learn
