TEACHERS: WATCH THE DATES/LESSON NUMBERS AND FALL OR
WINTER BOOKS CAREFULLY, IT ISN’T ALWAYS IN EXACT ORDER.
September 13: Fall Lesson 1: Adam and Eve. All the kids
will go straight to their classrooms this morning. Take extra
time to get to know everyone.
*Teachers be sure to come up for the beginning of
worship; it is the Teachers Blessing this morning.
September 20: Fall Lesson 2: The First Sin. We will have a
Skit performed by our Drama Ministry, so we will all begin in
the Family Room together. After the skit the kids will go to
their classrooms.
September 27: Fall Lesson 3: Joseph and his brothers. Kids
will go to the Family room first and I will spend a little time
with them talking about where our offering is going this year.
October 4: Fall Lesson 4: Joseph helps his brothers. Music
with Miss Beth and Miss Solveig will begin today. We will
start in the Family room for about 10 minutes of singing. We

kiddos. Music today will be followed by a skit by our Drama
Ministry.

November 29: No lessons today- Thanksgiving holiday
December 6: Winter Lesson 2: Angel Visit. This is also our
dress rehearsal Sunday for the Christmas Program. We will all
start in the Family Room; have the younger ones go through
their songs and then they will be dismissed to their
classrooms. I will keep the 2nd graders and any 1st graders
who are “actors” in the program to go through the whole
thing. These kids will not have a lesson, but all the others
(non-actors) will.
December 13: Sunday school Christmas program during
worship. There will be no regular classes this morning, all kids
will be with their parents or program leaders for the worship
service that they normally attend.
December 20: Christmas stations in the Family room. We will
use Winter Lesson 3: Jesus is Born along with the other
activities. I will need at least 3 teachers at each service to
run the stations.
December 27: No classes for Christmas break
January 3: I will need at least 2 teachers from each service,
but we will just watch a Christmas themed movie for Sunday
school. Didn’t want to not have anything for those families
who are in worship after Christmas, but yet it seemed early
to jump back in.
*For the 4 remaining weeks in January we will be doing “JTerm” and each age will do a different piece of the “I am
Lutheran” curriculum.
*Classes will meet at 9:15 and 10:45 on January 10, 17, 24
and 31. Teacher materials for the month of January will be
out for you by December 13. Below is listed what each age
will be doing.
2’s, 3’s and Pre-K class: “How does God want us to live?”
Kindergarten: “My Book About Jesus”.

March 6: This is the All Church Musical performance
weekend. Many of our families/children/teachers are involved,
so therefore I will take the kids who are here and show a
movie. If a teacher or two from each service, that are not
involved in the musical, could help out, that would be
appreciated. There will be no regular lessons today.
March 13: Winter Lesson 8: Woman at the Well.
March 20: Easter stations in the Family room. I will need at
least 3 teachers from each service to run the stations. This
is Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week.
March 27: Easter Sunday- no Sunday school classes
April 3: Winter Lesson 10: Centurion’s Servant.
April 10: Winter Lesson 11: Jesus Blesses the Children
April 17: Winter Lesson 9: A Storm. Note the movement in
lessons. We will have a skit this morning.
April 24: Winter Lesson 12: Jesus Heals 2 Blind Men.
Again, note the jumping in lessons. This was so I could get
the right skit on the right day.
May 1: Fall Lesson 14: Daniel and the Lion’s Den. Jumping
back to fall to end with a fun lesson. We will have a skit and
then a Veggie Tales movie on Daniel. This is our last week, so
again, please be sure to be up in worship at the beginning so
that the congregation can thank you.
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR TEACHING
THIS YEAR.
It my most sincere hope that you received
more from your students than they received
from each of you over these past months.
Each of you is a very special gift to Family of
Christ and to every Sunday school student here.

