From: Bach, Diane) Subject: Collective Impact Information Hi all, I attended a Collective Impact presentation today in Jackson. As part of the presentation they showed two videos – links below: Tackling Complex Social Problems through Collective Impact http://collectiveimpactforum.org/resources/tackling-complex-social-problems-through-collectiveimpact How Change Happens by Paul Schmitz https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wg_a79MDfKU The Montgomery Bus Boycott can also be found in written version here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/paul-schmitz/how-change-happens-the-re_b_6237544.html It was especially interesting to watch “How Change Happens” – which is about the Montgomery Bus Boycott – and then discuss how the five key components of Collective Impact were present! I invite all of you to check out these videos. Perhaps they can be useful as we continue to help others learn about and understand Collective Impact. It was a great illustration that “Leadership is an action everyone can take; not a position few can hold”! If you’d like, I can share the discussion about “How Change Happens” at out next meeting – if it fits with our agenda. The third link above is a written version of the Montgomery Bus Boycott.
