Eerste Oosterparkstraat 176, +31(0)20 668 0150 Go left out of the apartment, follow this road for about 500 meters. 4 Eastern Park Suite 1 Manuals This section contains manuals for the electrical equipment in your apartment, if you notice there is a manual missing or not explanative enough, please do not hesitate to note us, so we can improve this manual. Microwave/Oven (Etna): The Microwave/oven-combination is in the lower left cabinet of the kitchen. To use the microwave, press the microwave-button, set the time with the round turning knob, and press start. To use the oven, select your preference with the grill/conv/combi-button, select the weight of your product with the big round turning knob, and press start. Stove (Pelgrim): To use the stove, simply press one of the 4 knobs, corresponding with the stove you want to use. The stove will automatically generate a spark. When you turn the knob, and keep it pressed down the stove will light up and is ready for usage. To adjust the heat, simply turn the knob. Please use the extractor-fan when you are cooking, to avoid the fire-alarm from going off. Dishwasher (AEG): The dishwasher is in the second cabinet below from the left in the kitchen. Before you use it, please insert detergenttablet in the tablet-holder on the inside of the door of the machine. Then push the main power-button on the front left of the machine, and select the program you want to use. The machine will automatically start to wash. DVD (Samsung): Heating System: To turn on the TV, use the largest Samsungremote, and press the Power-button on the upper left of the remote. Also use this remote to switch channels and adjust the volume. To adjust the temperature in the apartment, simply turn the knobs on every individual radiator in the apartment, and set it to colder/warmer. Coffee-machine (Philips Senseo): Television (Samsung): The same remote works for the DVD as well, but only now be sure that you press the Source-button on the upper right of the remote first. Switch it to the AV-channel. Now it will control the DVD-player. Remove the water reservoir from the back of the machine. Fill the water reservoir with cold water up to the MAX line and put it back onto the appliance. Release the lid by lifting the lever on the front. Put the 1-cup or 2-cup pad holder in the appliance with a coffee pad in the holder (1 pad for one cup, 2 for two). Press the power button. A light should flash for up to 90 sec. Once the light has stopped flashing, press the appropriate button for 1 or 2 cups on either side of the power button, and the coffee will pour out the two spouts into your cup(s). You can find the coffee-pads in the tin can on the sink in the kitchen, or in one of the kitchen cabinets. Electric Kettle (Braun): Fill the kettle with water, press the button on top of the kettle and wait for the water to boil. In the Netherlands it is safe to use tap-water. 5 Eastern Park Suite 1 Manuals Internet: In this apartment is free wireless internet. The network that you can log into is called “WirelessAmsterdam”. The password you need to log on is “OnlineAmsterdam10”. Please make sure that you enter this password exactly like written above, including the capitals. Sofa bed: To use the sofa bed in the living room, first take off all the pillows and seats. Take the seating from the back, and pull/roll it forward until it can’t go any further. Then tilt the back seating forward, until it fits in. You can find the linen for the sofa bed in the closet in the living room or in the (hidden) wall closet next to the sofa bed. Iron, Iron board & hairdryer: You can find the iron board, iron and hairdryer in the apartment. Purchase tickets for upcoming gigs, classical concerts, theatre performances, operas, events, festivals, comedy shows, museums and exhibitions. The ticket shop is located on the Leidseplein in the city centre. The Last Minute Ticket Shop (LMTS) is also located in the Ticket shop, offering tickets to a selection of performances with 50% discount from 12:00 daily. Address: Leidseplein 26 , terrace side. The drivers sell 1 hour and 24 hour tickets. Tickets with a longer duration are sold at the tourist offices and at the GVB tickets and info desk at central station. This service has to be paid in cash Self-Catering Apartment For your convenience you will find some small supplies like coffee, tea, toilet paper, dishwasher tablets for the first use. For any other groceries or if you need more supplies there is always a supermarket close by. Neighbors and other guests Please note that your apartment is located in a residential neighborhood. Respect the residents and the other guests. Keep the noise down after 10 pm. Technical issues Your apartment has been carefully checked before your arrival. However, technical malfunctions can always occur. Please let us know as early as possible so our technical department can respond immediately. If you notify us before 5.30 pm we will do our utmost best to solve the problem the same day, otherwise we will come to the apartment the next morning. Linen Sheets and towels are provided. Every person has two towels. If you stay 8 nights or longer your apartment will be cleaned once a week and towels and sheets will be changed. You can order extra towels and sheets at an additional charge. Sofa bed If your apartment is equipped with a sofa bed, you will find linen in the closet or in the sofa bed itself. If the sofa bed is a chaise longue you can lift up the leg part where you will find everything you need to make the bed. Garbage In front of the building you will find a garbage collection point. Please put your garbage in here also on the day of departure. Keys Please take care of your keys. For keys that are not returned we will charge 65 euro per set of keys. If you accidentally took them home please send them back to us and we will refund 50 euro. NEVER leave the keys in the lock on the inside of the door. If you do we will have to break the door to get in. Any cost will be taken from your security deposit. Check out - Please vacate the apartment before 11 am - Do all the dishes - Leave the apartment tidy.
