THE TRUST LAND ORDINANCE
(Cap. 288)
ADDITION TO THE COAST 'LAND UNIT
IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 48 (1) of the
Trust Land Ordinance, the Governor, with the consent of the Trust
Land Board, hereby adds the area of Crown Land specified in the
First Schedule to this notice to the Coast Land Unit; and in consequence of such addition the specification of the boundaries of the said
Land Unit, appearing in the First Schedule to the said Ordinance, is
amended. in the manner described in the Second Schedule to this notice.
FIRST SCHEDULE
AREA OF CROWN LAND TO BE ADDED TO THE CoAST LAND UNIT
An area of approximately 513 square miles of Crown Land northwest of Malindi Township in the Kilifi District of the Coast Province.
SECOND SCHEDULE
AMENDED BOUNDARIES OF TIm CoAST LAND UNIT
Section XVllI-North Nyika-Part I
I. Delete the third to the sixteenth paragraphs beginning with-
"thence downstream by that river .. :'
and ending with" ... L.R. No. 4390 (Pumwani Settlement)" ;
and substitute the following paragraphs therefor"thence downstream by that river to its intersection with a
straight line from the trigonometrical beacon Janjani to the Kisiki
cha Mzungu Village;
thence north-westerly by that straight line to the Kisiki cha
Mzungu Village, and continuing by the same straight line to its
intersection with the southern boundary of the MalindifBarichoLalifVoi Road;
thence generally easterly by that road boundary for a distance
of approximately 9t miles;
thence north-easterly by a straight line for a distance of
approximately 35 miles to the intersection of longitude 40° E. with
latitude 2 43' S. ;
thence due east by that latitude to its intersection with the
western boundary of the Malindi-Garsen Road;
thence generally southerly by that road boundary to its intersection with latitude 2 54!' S. ;
thence due west by that Jatitude for a distance of approximately 8f miles to a point due north of the north-west corner of
L.R. No. 4390 I R (Pumwani Settlement) ;
thence due south to the said north-west corner of L.R. No.
4390 fR (Pumwani Settlement) ;

plot to the latter's intersection with the western boundary of L.R.

thence southerly by part of the western boundary of L.R.
No. 4390 jR (Pumwani Settlement) to its jntersection with the
northern boundary of Mambrui Plot No. 275 ;
thence westerly by part of the northern boundary, generally
southerly by the generally western boundary and north-easterly by
part of the south-eastern boundary of that plot to the latter's intersection with the western boundary of L.R. No. 4390jR (Pumwani
Settlement)."
II. Delete subparagraph (a) of the one hundred and sixth paragraph which reads"(a) Mambrui Plots Nos. 273, 279 and 280;"
and substitute the following paragraph therefor"(a) Mambrui Plots Nos. 272, 273, 274, 279, 280 and 281 ;"
The boundaries of the areas affected by these amendments are
more particularly delineated t edged yellow, on Boundary Plan No.
179 j 74 Which, sealed with the seal of the Survey of Kenya, is deposited
in the Survey Records Office, Survey of Kenya, Nairobi.
