The Griffin State School Art Show is open to Griffin State School students,
family members and local artists. The Art Show will include three
components:
• Class exhibits - All Griffin State School students will have an entry
exhibited with their class. Each student entry will be for sale, however,
no prizes will be awarded in this component.
• Art Competition - Entry to the Art Competition will incur a small fee to
contribute to prize money and entries may or may not be for sale.
Entrants please note that a commission of 20% will be retained on all
sales of artwork during the show.
• Art Display - This is open to any person/s wanting to display work and/or
sell work during the show but not wishing to be part of the competition.
This will not incur an entry fee, however, a commission of 20% will be
retained on all sales made during the show.

ENTRY FORM should be sent to Tara Shackcloth prior to Friday 26th of August, 2016. (This
enables show organisers to complete relevant paperwork prior to the delivery times and
reduces the time it takes for YOU to check in). Please read both sides of ENTRY FORM
carefully.
2. ENTRY FEES can be sent with the entry form or paid on delivery of artworks. PAYMENTS may
be made using Cash, Eftpos or by direct deposit into the School Bank Account. Please note
that the preferred method of payment is by direct deposit into the School Bank Account.

• Please ensure that the reference name reflects the word ARTSHOW followed by the
entrant’s full name to enable easy reference. For example. ARTSHOW_ENTRANT

3. COMPLETED INVENTORY FORM must accompany all entries when delivered.
4. Any artworks which are to be exhibited for show and not for Judging must be clearly
marked NOT FOR JUDGING.
5. Organisers reserve the right to declare a non-competition in any class in which there are
less than three (3) entries.
6. The organisers reserve the right not to display any item considered to be not suitable. e.g.
pornographic, obscene, dirty, damaged or in bad taste etc.

A commission of 20% will be retained on all sales.
8. We regret that Griffin State School cannot accept any liability for loss or damage of entries
while in the custody of the school, however all due care will be exercised. Insurance is the
responsibility of the exhibitor.
9. The organisers reserve the right to reproduce any entry for publicity in any media form for
the duration of the show.
10. PLEASE RETAIN YOUR RECEIPT FOR ENTRY FEES. YOU MUST PRODUCE THIS AS PROOF OF
OWNERSHIP OF ITEMS WHEN COLLECTING ENTRIES AT CLOSURE OF THE SHOW.
11. There is no limit to the number of items entered. A $10 entry fee will be charged per entry
however more than 3 entries will incur a set $20 fee.
12. All items may be for sale. If not for sale clearly mark N.F.S.
13. EVERY INDIVIDUAL ITEM FOR SALE MUST HAVE A PRICE TAG ATTACHED – showing name
or code (first three letters of surname), inventory number, and price. This information
must correspond with INVENTORY FORM.
1st, 2nd and 3rd place cards will be awarded within each DIVISION.

A Champion Entry will be awarded within each Section of the Competition.
A Champion will receive $50 prize money.
PAINTING & DRAWING
Presentation of Paintings:
Paintings must be framed and have suitable hanging devices attached. Each entry must be marked on the
reverse side with: - Section and Division, Title and Medium, Artist’s Name and Address, and Selling Price.
If not for sale mark N.F.S. All paintings must have a clean, white card attached to the bottom right corner
(to be folded up for judging) stating only Title, Artist’s name and Selling Price (or N.F.S). Any one painting
can be judged in ONE DIVISION only.
