The Israelites, wandering in the desert,
grumbled against God. God heard the Israelites
and promised to meet their need for food. The
Israelites depended on God for manna. We, too,
can depend on God to meet our needs.
PRAYER and PRAISE
1. Pray for the Gifts Discernment Committee as they continue contacting
people for roles in the church. Pray for God to lead people to these
positions with joyful and willing hearts.
2. Offer prayers of thanksgiving for the many ways God is faithful to,
cares for, and continues to lead his family of faith at Lindale!

Welcome to all the children and the friends they invited for the Primary Sunday
School’s “Bring-a-Friend Sunday” event!
Remember to take an envelope for the "FILL THE ENVELOPES FUNDRAISER!”
Continuing through the month of May, each person in the congregation is encouraged
to take at least one envelope from the board in the foyer. If all envelopes are collected
with gifts, we will raise a total of $20,100. The first $7,500 will bless the MYF on their
trip to Orlando, and any amounts collected over $7,500 will support Lindale's budgeted
ministries. Please remember to return your envelopes to the box near the display. Thank

Registration for Summer Bible School begins today! Find registration cards in your
mailbox or on the Welcome Table in the foyer to get your child signed up for “David’s
GIANT Rock” the week of June 19-23. ~Julette Rush
MYF Mini-Golf and Kline’s: MYF will go mini-golfing at Mulligan’s on Wednesday
followed by a trip to Kline’s. Please meet at EMS at 6:30 p.m. and be back to pick up
your youth at 8:30 p.m. Students should bring $10 for this event.
Lindale Child Care is hiring! LCCP is currently looking to hire a part time
Administrative Assistant. The position will have flexible hours of 10-15 hours per
week. LCCP is also looking to hire full and part time summer staff to work in our
school age program. This is a position for energetic and creative individuals who enjoy
spending time and interacting with children. Please contact Theresa Horst at

The Special Events Committee is hard at work planning for Lindale’s Annual Retreat
at Highland the weekend of June 9-11. Please mark your calendars and look for more
information in the coming weeks. We hope to see you there!
Join Good Company for “Behind the Music,” an interactive sing-along concert at Park
View Mennonite Church at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 4. This concert will be a mix of
new pieces performed by Good Company alone AND familiar favorites that the audience
will be invited to join in singing. Lindale members include Kevin Eby and Joel Ross.
Come out to Lindale for the Bridge of Hope Benefit Concert featuring the Walking
Roots Band on Thursday, May 25! The concert starts at 7 p.m. and tickets can be
purchased for $10 at the door or by calling (540) 478-2356.
