FLOW CHART OF STUDENT EVENT FOOD POLICY PROCEDURES: I am with a Student Group, I have submitted a Student Event Request Form, have secured approval for my event from Student Activities, and have contacted Conference & Event Services to confirm a facility reservation for my event. The event will be held using a space outside the Collegia, International Student Center, or campus residences (or Campion Ballroom), and our student group wants to: Order from Bon Appétit GREAT! Go ahead! I am with a Legacy Program Make our own Food OR Go to an outside vendor, purchase food, and bring it to campus Some persons attending are not members of the club and are not on an established guest list, OR tickets are being sold to the event All persons that are coming are identifiable members of the club or are on a guest list that can be confirmed prior to the event 76 or more people will attend I am NOT with a Legacy Program Contact the Director of Food Service for guidance on menu and event planning King County Permit Required 1. Arrange an appointment with the Director of Food Service to schedule time in a licensed kitchen, and obtain references for a qualified chef to oversee food preparation 2. Visit the International Student Center (ISC) to fill out a form requesting use of cooking and serving equipment 3. If the student group is preparing the food: arrange for hand‐washing stations and waste water pails from the ISC 4. Visit the King County Health Department website for information on obtaining a Temporary Food Service Establishment permit, and for obtaining Food Handler’s Permits for student group members that will be assisting with food preparation and service Have a restaurant or catering company cater or deliver food STOP! Violates Bon Appétit Contract 75 or fewer people will attend No King County Permit Required Please schedule an appointment with the International Student Center (ISC) to obtain any necessary food preparation/serving equipment.
