Brooks Secondary – June 2017 Assessment Week Schedule

For the last 4 days of classes this June, the day will be divided into two parts.
Students will NOT have a TAG class to start these days – students will proceed directly
to class.
All blocks will have 169 minutes to complete any final assessments, exam preparations
or reviews, lab clean-ups, or cumulative class activities.
Open Centres (OCs) will remain as is for supervised study, review and assistance in
completion of all final assignments.
The assessment week will aim to be a quiet week to accommodate classes that will be
writing tests or exams.
If a student has an OC during a block (eg. B2), the expectation will be that they remain in
a chosen room for the entire block to reduce hallway noise.
If students do need to leave their OC students will need a teacher note in their planner.
Several teachers may choose to complete a culminating activity in this block of time.
The exam days will be shortened to just 3 days, when all common exams will be written
(see attached exam schedule)
