Miss Sheldon’s Weekly Newsletter
August 26, 2016
Shout out from Miss Sheldon:
Well, we made it through our first full week in room 1214. The students are starting to get the hang of second
grade routines and expectations. I sent home Splash Math and Xtra Math log-in information earlier this week.
These programs will help reinforce second grade math concepts and work on fact fluency. Please help your
student with getting set-up and familiar with using the computer.
Your student did not come home with a homework packet this week. However, I did send home a math and
reading log. Please keep track of your student’s reading and math practice throughout the weekend and
upcoming week. I will be sending home the first homework packet next Friday.
I am looking forward to meeting all of you at Curriculum Night on August 30 at 6:30 pm. All the parents will be
meeting in the large gym to hear a few words from Mr. Mitchem. When he is done presenting please stay in the
gym for the second grade presentation.
Have a great weekend!
Miss Sheldon

During the week the students worked in groups
creating a poster that focused around one of the

poster to the class as a review for the quiz.
