Gymnasts progress through the British Gymnastics award schemes and talented gymnasts are invited to train with our elite squads and develop their skills even further. The British Gymnastics Award Schemes provide the foundation for teaching high quality gymnastics in a fun, friendly and progressive way. Certificates and badges are awarded to those gymnasts who successfully complete each award. Tumble Teds These classes are for pre-school children and follow the British Gymnastics Fundamental award scheme. Classes are split into age groups, 18 months-3 years is a parent and toddler session and 3-5 years is an independent child session where the parent remains on the viewing balcony. The gymnast will progress to the older group when they have turned 3 and places are available. The British Gymnastics programme teaches the young gymnast to acquire essential physical, social and emotional life skills and is centered around 16 themes with songs, colours and counting to support movement skills.
