Monta Loma Elementary October 05, 2016. Core value of the month: Responsibility SCHOOL NEWS Dear ML Parents, During the second week of October we will have the Parent/Teacher Conferences at Monta Loma. Please arrive 5 minutes before your appointment and be prepared to discuss your student’s school performance with your teacher. Every day on that week the students will be dismissed at 12:30 pm. Please make the necessary arrangements so your student is picked up on time. YMCA and BTB will continue serving their student population as normal. Outstanding Artists from Monta Loma Elementary The outstanding art work of three of our students is being displayed at the Mountain View Children's Library. The exhibit will be up from September 30th, 2016 to October 24th, 2016. Go check it out! We congratulate them for their great work: Isabella R., Livia B., Scott K. When students miss too much school— regardless of the reason – it can cause them to fall behind academically. Your child is less likely to succeed if he or she is chronically absent. Children chronically absent in kindergarten and 1 grade are much less likely to read at grade level by the end of 3 grade. By 6 grade, chronic absence is a proven early warning sign for students at risk for dropping out of school. st rd th Thank you v lunteers!
