Valleys Equestrian Association Members and other local riders will see some of the results of our efforts to get funding for equestrian activities in the coming months. We’ll be using both the showjumps and the dressage boards at the combined training show on September 5th and we have now secured further funding to put towards members doing the Riding and Road Safety Course at Triley Fields EC in Abergavenney and to provide an 2 day BHS Equine First Aid course in Cwmdare. Dare Valley members who have passed their D test will be doing the BHS Road Safety course in September and October. The Equine First Aid course will take place at the end of September for pony club and riding club instructors, volunteers and members and will give those who attend the First Aid qualification from BHS. We believe Pony Club should be interactive, informative and fun with a focus on learning and equestrian sporting activities. Our rallies and events cover a range of activities, including schooling, show jumping and cross country. When we have enough members interested in a particular discipline, we will set up teams to train together and travel to the pony club area competitions and other local events.
