Your Wedding at the New Plough
Congratulations on your engagement and welcome to
the New Plough - a picturesque yet unconventional
setting for your big day!
Our captivating venue creates a magical backdrop for a
wedding right out of a fairytale! We have 2 main areas
available for private hire; Enchanted Tipis and The Loft
enchanted tipis
Our main wedding space. We call them enchanted
as they offer an air of the magical to any occasion.
If it’s a wedding with that rustic outdoor feel with
all the comforts of the indoors, tipis are for you.
To bring the outside in when the weather is fine,
the sides of the tipis open out so you can make
the most the countryside views and (hopefully)
glorious weather!
The space is made up of 3 interconnected tipis
that offer a surprising amount of space. All beams
adorned with fairy-lights with antler chandeliers
to the centre of each tipi. Our dining arrangement
boasts long banqueting tables with bench seating,
whilst our chill-out area features repurposed
cable drum tables and hand-made wooden bars.
At night is when the tipis really come to life and
become a place of wonder and fantasy – expect a
romantic, enchanted forest feel. A crackling fire
in the moonlight and lanterns aglow create an
unparalleled atmosphere.
The tipis can easily accommodate a dining
arrangement, a dancefloor an a bar area under one
roof. The space is yours to make your own and can
be setup per your requirements for up to
150 people.
The Loft
The name we affectionately give the private
function space to the second floor of the main
public venue. This beautiful yet rustic space is
perfect for ceremonies and for intimate
wedding receptions.
The Loft is the perfect spot to say ‘I do’! This
light and airy private function space can be set
for ceremonies of up to 50. Or if you’re a true
outdoorsy type, we can also host humanist
ceremonies on our lawn space outside the tipis.
The space features farmhouse-style brickwork,
quadrant-paned bay windows and old-style
wooden ceiling beams, and provides a simple,
elegant yet quaint setting for couples looking
for a country-inspired feel.
For intimate wedding breakfasts, we can
transform The Loft with a private dining setup for
you and your guests. Perfect for a low
key reception.

We pride ourselves on providing quality local food and drink in
our brew pub and this very much extends to our weddings.
Being a Sonnet 43 tap, the ales available on our bar are made just
a few short miles away, as are the artisan spirits from our sister
distillery, Poetic License. So your wedding day beverages can be
as special as the day itself!
We’re big foodies, and believe your first meal as a married couple
should be a reflection of your personal taste. From carve-yourown succulent roast meats, to pretty afternoon teas comprising
many a tasty morsel, or the spectacle and meaty-goodness of a
hog roast - we have contemporary and delectable food options to
make your mouth water!
