Whale Sharks By Caviezell Sullivan Writing/Science February 9, 2015 Introduction and Appearance The whale sharks are very interesting creatures. The features of a whale are incredible. Whale Sharks are huge creatures. It’s mostly gray covered with white spots. It’s mouth is like a snout. It is about is about 40 to 50 feet and weighs about 15 tons (14 tons). A whale shark looks like a huge fish. They have the ability to grow nearly 60 feet(18 m) long. Almost all whale sharks are 39 (12 m) long and weigh about 15 ton(14 t). A whale shark have Gill Slits, Pectoral fin, Dorsal fins, Pelvic fin, and Caudal fin. ​
Locomotion The whale can move in different ways. The way it moves is by swimming. This shark is a great swimmer. It can swim very long and it swims fast. The whale shark does not have legs, instead it has a tail. Habitat The whale shark is usually found all over the world, like Australia, New York, Brazil, Japan, Chile, and other places. The place Whale Sharks live in warm oceans like the Caribbean seas. Food A whale shark eats,plankton, sardines, mackerel, and tuna. The whale shark bobs up and down while the food enters its mouth.
