January 8-29 - Prayer Guides have been sent to the pastors.
January 29 will be the Annual Pray around the World Day with a special
prayer meeting for all Bible Methodists at 6:00 p.m EST
Northern Lights Youth Retreat -- January 13-15, 2017
Evart Bible Methodist Church
This January event will celebrate the winter season.
Dr. Alan Brown will be speaking about “Wisdom”.
Personal Schedule
Immediately after Family Retreat, Saundy and I were privileged to celebrate
the completion of Concord’s three phase improvement project. The elegant sound
booth and spacious family restroom have been completed. As well, their dream of a
barrier free entrance and circular drive has finally been realized.
We were privileged to participate in the Combined Ministerial that met at
Higher Ground. Our hearts were blessed by the powerful ministry of Dr. Oswalt and
by the wonderful fellowship with fellow pastoral couples.
After ministerial we drove to Cincinnati for GBS’s homecoming and the
honoring of Dr. Avery for his years of service. It was a moving and emotional time.
Saturday was a travel day so that we could be back to preach at Rock Lake.
The next week we traveled back and forth to Pilgrim Bible Church in Cedar
Springs to preach for their revival. God blessed our time and we enjoyed getting to
know Pastor and Mrs. Shiery better.
Conference Presidents’ Meeting followed on Tuesday through Friday morning.
We have worked together for sixteen years. Next summer Rev. Hedstrom and Rev.
Sams will transition out of their roles as conference leaders. So, although our time
was enjoyable and our work time profitable, it was tinged with a sense of sadness.
This week Dr. and Mrs. Keaton are our guests as they minister to us here at
Rock Lake. Sunday the Craguns will be here for the morning service.
