I am a steward of this earth. From the beginning, God has given

I exist to bring God glory.
His character is displayed through
nature. We should protect what
proclaims His majesty to the world
and treasure this gift that connects
human beings to Christ.
I am a steward of this earth.
From the beginning, God has given
human beings the joy and privilege
of caring for the earth we inhabit. We
are to take this role seriously while
honoring the resources He has given.

1 Timothy 6:17-19
I honor my body and soul.
I bear the unique and glorious
image of God and the Holy Spirit
dwells within me. In turn, I should
care for my own body by taking
measures to consume healthy
food, air, and water.
I will be held accountable for
every action. We will all stand
before God. I will attest to my life on
earth and how I used His resources.
My behavior and words should glorify
my Maker and respect all creation.

I am called to love everyone.
This is the second greatest
commandment. As image bearers,
each of us has eternal and intrinsic
value. By protecting and preserving
natural resources, we are honoring
and providing for those around us.
Mark 12:31, Matthew 22:36-40,
Romans 13:8-10, John 15:9-17
I am called to care for the poor.
Throughout the Bible, we see Jesus’
love for those on the fringes. As
those who are impoverished suffer
the most from environmental
damage, we should sacrificially take
on the responsibility of creation care
for their good.
Proverbs 14:31, 1 John 3:17-18,
James 1:27, Matthew 25:31-46,
Isaiah 58:10
I live with wisdom and
prudence while on the earth.
God is involved in our day-to-day
lives. We are called to be careful not
to be careless, covetous, or greedy.
We consider our ways as we spend
money and the gifts God has given.
Am I treasuring God’s gifts and
following His commands? Am I living
in a way that honors my body, my
neighbors and the poor? Am I
considering the earth and humanity
in my spending? Have I given thought
to the value of creation?

Proverbs 13:22 & 21:20
