Many minds, one mission. ARK Franklin Primary@ARK_FranklinPrimary Ark Franklin Newsletter 2nd October 2015 Dear Parents, As you can see from our photographs the newly elected school council have been out visiting the Mayor of Brent, Lesley Jones MBE. They were invited into the Mayor’s Parlour for refreshments followed by a question and answer session; she was impressed with their thoughtful questions and knowledge of the democratic process. In one picture the children are holding the register for births in Brent, open at the page where my birth is recorded: I was born in Brent in 1967, just over a mile from Ark Franklin. Remember to ask your child about their legacy sentence, here is one from a school councillor: ‘He was a world famous cosmologist who discovered many secrets of our universe.’ Have a good weekend, enjoy the sunshine, and we look forward to seeing you from 8.30am on Monday. Warmest regards Janine Ryan We took the opportunity to visit the children’s section of the library while at Brent Civic Centre.
