Windows Operator Console (WOC) Control
The WOC provides several indicators to identify the presence of high fidelity audio.
• Identifying HD in Conference: An icon will appear next to the conference name in the
WOC Active Conference List when HD is being used in that conference.
• Identifying HD Participants: The operator may view the current HD-enabled state
for an individual caller in the Name and Phone window. Also, the Conference Control
window will contain a column that displays “HD” for each HD party. The operator will
not have the ability to change the HD-enabled state of the participant.
Billing
If you’re not sure if an HD codec was used by the participant during the call, or if the
HD-enabled flag was set at any time during the conference, the Billing Collector is the
solution. It will show the HD-enabled attribute on the output table for each conference.
Billing records will also record whether the participant was using an HD codec during the
call. This information will be available for all CONTEX Digital Recorders (CDRs) as well as
through the Real Time Billing Interface (RTBI) protocol.
Recording
When the Summit system is running in HD mode, internal recordings are generated in
high fidelity audio. These recordings can be easily downloaded using the CONTEX Summit
Recording Downloader or played back in a conference. Listening to playback using an
HD-enabled endpoint will allow a caller to experience the full HD-audio quality of the
recorded conference.
