March 13, 2016
Members Present: Monte Burrell, Shanna Clabaugh, Erica French, Elaine Greer, Rachel Hawn, Carla Jones, Pastor
Martin, Brianna Sholly, Eric Winger, Gary Zeman and Manny Zempel
Members Absent: Nate Gruys, Pat Palmberg
Call to Order: Eric called the meeting to order.
Devotions: Pastor Martin opened with a prayer.
Karen Larson gave a report on Mutual Ministry. We need to “tend the garden”. There are key items. Stewardship/Givng
is typical within our conference. We need to energize serving within the Congregation. Social cohesion within the
congregation within all 3 different services; (Ex: combining services within the summer time). Also getting feedback from
the Talent sheet survey could be another avenue to get members involved.
Minutes: Minutes of the last meeting were reviewed. Erica made a motion to accept and approve the minutes with this
change. Elaine seconded the motion and the motion carried.
Financial Report: The monthly financial reports for December, January and February were reviewed. Manny made a
motion to accept and approve them. Rachel seconded and the motion carried.
Pastor gave an update on the Sunday Service Broadcasts. The offer is 10am and Cost is: $2,000 upfront cost +
$100/week.
Currently the devotions on the Jackson County radio station are FREE.
We are currently on Channel 3 on Mediacom on the TV. This is free, too.
The positive to this would be to hear the Good News on the radio during winter months or shut-ins.
Podcast option was an idea or Streaming the service. More to come.
Eric reported on the St Luke’s gathering. There is difficulty with staffing, but a great facility. Need to get involved to
support the Nursing Home.
Columbarium Update: We will apply in April to the Board of Adjustment to continue this project.

Service & Outreach Ministry:
We will have a working meeting for our groups to prioritize add/change for the 3 sections 2020 Vision for Mission.
Council Host Schedule: Mar. 20-Manny, Mar. 27-Elaine, Apr. 3-Erica, Apr. 10-Eric.

Elaine moved to adjourn. Carla seconded. Motion carried. Council members closed with the Lord’s Prayer.
