cleaning guide 12_15.cdr - ProStuff glass, carpet, rust, mildew

Cleaning Suggestions
Light Duty General Cleaning
Add 1/8 to 1/4 inch of ProStuff to container and fill the rest with water (depending on what degree of hardness or minerals are in the water).
This solution should be used on surfaces such as glass, windows, crystal, all counter tops including granite, interior stainless steel, vinyl
windows, etc.
Medium to Heavy Duty General Cleaning
Dilute 1/3 ProStuff to 2/3 water in any container (depending on what degree of hardness or minerals are in the water). Use this solution for
surfaces such as clothing stains, carpet stains, tile grout, soap scum, showers, tubs, concrete stains, mildewed marine vinyl, golf cart seats,
etc.
Stainless Steel
For Interior stainless steel use the Light Duty version of ProStuff, then spray on a rag or towel before wiping lcean. For Exterior stainless steel
use the Heavy Duty version of ProStuff. Depending on the severity, such as burnt spots, rust and corrosion, you may need to also utilize 3M
Scotch Brite to remove the stain.
Brass or Metals
When cleaning outside metals like brass door knobs etc., it's best to use a fresh piece of 3M Scotch Brite for the brushed look or a piece of 4
(0000) steel wool for a mirrored look.
Rust or Oil
When cleaning rust or oil on a driveway or concrete, it's best to use a stiff brush or even a BBQ brush.
Ceramic Cook Tops
For ceramic or glass top stoves, it's best to use the back of a yellow sponge pad or the 3M Scotch Brite pad with light agitation.
Mildew on Marine Vinyl
For heavy or deep mildew on marine vinyl, it's best to use a stronger solution of 1/2 and 1/2 with warm water and a piece of 3m Scotch Brite
with light agitation.
Tile Grout
For heavily soiled tile grout it's best to use a slightly stronger solution, and since ProStuff is a penetrating cleaner, you will need to let it soak for
a minute or so before wiping or brushing it.
Tile/Marble Floors
For general cleaning of tile or marble floors with a mop, it's best to use a very small amount, such as 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch in a bucket with 4 to
6 inches of water.
Windows/Mirrors
For streak-free window cleaning, mirror, granite counter tops, etc., 1 to 3 tablespoons or about an 1/8 of an inch in a spray bottle with the rest
of the bottle filled with water.
Wood Decks
For cleaning wood decks, teakwood or outside wood surfaces, depending on the severity of stain, anywhere from 1 part cleaner to 5 parts
water to an even stronger solution of 1/2 and 1/2. Allow it to soak for a minute or two before wiping or light brushing and then rinsing with a
hose.
Patio Furniture
For outside patio furniture with mildew, depending on the severity of staining, 1 part cleaner to 5 parts water to a stronger solution of 1/2 and
1/2. Allow to soak for a minute or two before wiping or light brushing and then rinsing with a hose.
Carpets
For light carpet stains it's best to use a 1 part Pro Stuff and 5 parts water. Spray thoroughly and rub mildly with a rag or towel. No rinsing
necessary. For heavier stains or liquid stains such as coffee, soda, wine, juices or animal urine, a 1/2 and 1/2 solution works best. Since liquid
stains are much wider under the carpet than appear on the surface, we recommend saturating the area plus a few more inches around the
stain. Then take a larger or more absorbent towel or cloth and step down on the towel with your foot. If needed you can repeat this process
with warm water until no more stain appears on the cloth. Then let dry normally. This procedure will not only clean the stain but will remove the
odor as well.
For Pre-Wash on Clothing Stains
It's best to use the general cleaning dilution of 1 part ProStuff and 2 to 3 parts water. If the stains have already been washed and dried in, then
let soak for a couple of minutes and work the cleaner into the fabric using both hands. ProStuff can also be used in your washing machine in
the pre wash compartment or by adding a little to your liquid laundry detergent.
For Gutters
When utilizing a jet stream nozzle to clean gutters with Pro Stuff, it's best to use a 1 to 1 ratio or 1/2 and 1/2, then let soak for a minute or two
before rinsing. If you don't mind manually wiping the gutters, use a 1 to 5 ratio. Let ProStuff soak for a minute or two before wiping them
clean.
