nternal texts aas required. TThe translated
d text has to be delivered in MS Word or Exxcel files, as rrequired, follo
owing the forrmatting of th

press releasess, media advisories, publiccations, reporrts, and otherr editorial‐related texts. Thesse texts could

d in MS Word or Excel filess as required.. 3)) All text, inccluding text ccontained in ffigures, boxess, tables, pho
oto captions, ssources and ccovers requires trranslations an
nd proofreadiing. Proofrea ding and editting will be do
one primarily using Adobe Acrrobat 8. Prooffreading and editing of MSS Word docum
ments will maake use of traack changes. 1
4)) The translaator is expectted to perform
m terminologgy research (i.e. on UN/UN
NDP/UNTerm websites aand others) to
o ensure the aaccuracy and appropriaten
ness of all translations. The translator is also respon
nsible for enssuring qualityy and accuracyy of the entire document before sub
bmitting it back to UNDP through the T ranslation Maanager. 5)) Translation
n of bibliographical entriess: • The entry (UN publicaation, scientiffic article, new
wspaper articcle, special intterest paper, etc.) should onlly be translate
ed if further rresearch deteermines that there is an eq
quivalent in the target langguage. • Referencce information within the bibliographiccal entry (e.g. publishing en
ntity, location
n, date, retrie
eving instructtions) should be translatedd and/or locaalized. • Country specific instittutions (e.g. LL’Académie Frrançaise, Loyaa Jirga, Keida
anren, etc.) an
nd acronyms of world‐reno
owned institu
utions (NASA,, FBI, CIA, etcc.) should be left as is and explained in brackets. Qualifications: dustry track re
