Disassembly Party
Friday, 9/9 | 4:30-5:30 p.m. | Grades 3-8
Learn all about the inner workings and tech of household
devices by taking them apart! We'll provide the items to
disassemble.
Code Academy
Thursdays, 9/8 & 10/6 | 4-5 p.m. | Registration required
We’ll start with simple coding and see where we go! No prior
experience required.
T-Shirt Totes
Wednesday, 9/21 | 4-5 p.m.
Bring a t-shirt of any size and we'll show you how to transform it
into an awesome bag--no sewing required! (Some shirts
provided if you don't have one you can part with.)
Seven-Sentence Scary Stories Writing Contest
10/1-22
Write a scary story using only seven sentences! Full guidelines
and an entry form can be picked up at the main library or
the Murray Scholls branch starting Saturday, 10/1, or
downloaded from www.BeavertonLibrary.org/Teens. Entries
are due by 5 p.m. on Saturday, 10/22.
LEGO Robotics Workshop
Thursday, 9/22 | 6-8 p.m. | Registration required
Interested in LEGOs, programming and robotics? Beaverton
City Library will be hosting Batteries in Black, Oregon's #1
robotics team, for a crash course in LEGO Mindstorms
programming. No prior knowledge of LEGO robotics required.
Mod Podge Journals
Friday, 9/23 | 4:30-5:30 p.m. | Grades 3-8 | Registration required
Tweens will create, customize and decorate blank journals
using a variety of paper mediums, embellishments and Mod
Podge glue.
Day of Coding
Sunday, 10/2 | 1-4 p.m. Grades 3-12 with family
Drop by the Children's Desk or the Teen Desk between 1 and 4
p.m. to pick up your coding challenge! No previous
experience required.
Middle School OBOB Book Club
Friday, 10/7 | 4:30-5:30 p.m. | Grades 6-8
Welcome back, OBOB readers! Prep for battle with book
trivia, Mad Libs and snacks. Note: we have changed our
meeting to every first Friday of the month.
Anime Club
