Due to the nature of billing it is not possible to refund absences due to sickness, where
travel was not required.
A 5% discount will be given for the second or further only students from the same family
travelling on our service, please calculate before completing cheques.
Please note that a discount has been given for students in Years 11/12/13 to allow for
exams/work experience periods, albeit work experience happens in Year 10.
Failure to show passes on coach will result in travel being refused.

1. Timetable
Ÿ
All students should be at pick-up point at least five minutes BEFORE DEPARTURE TIME.
Ÿ
Coach will not leave the stop until appointed time of pick-up.
2. Emergency Arrangements
Ÿ
Students must wait at stop for 30 minutes at which point if the coach has not arrived they should return home and
parents should phone the ACADEMY.
Ÿ
South Gloucestershire Bus and Coach Company Limited to phone college in the event of a delay of more than 30
minutes. They undertake to cover the cost of taxi’s (Provided receipt for taxi is handed in at the Academy reception on
the day of travel, failure to do so will result in fare not being reimbursed).

3. Behaviour
Ÿ
A similar level of behaviour is expected of students on coaches as applies within the Academy.
Students must remain seated at all times.
In particular they: Must not distract the driver, Must not use bad language & must leave the coach as found.
Ÿ
Persistent bad behaviour will result in a formal warning from the Company and Academy and may ultimately result in
students being banned from using the coaches.
Ÿ
South Gloucestershire Bus and Coach Company Limited demand acceptable conduct from drivers and will not tolerate,
for example, bad language, racial abuse or any other form of physical or verbal abuse.
Ÿ
Drivers may return to the Academy if students are behaving unreasonably. Staff at the Academy will then deal with
those responsible. (Drivers must identify).
4. Complaints Procedure

Parents of all students carried on South Gloucestershire Bus and Coach Company Limited transport are requested to put
forward their complaint e.g. coaches/drivers in writing to Rhiannon Diamond @ South Gloucestershire Bus and Coach
Company Limited, The Coach Depot, Pegasus Park, Gipsy Patch Lane, Patchway, Bristol, BS34 6QD alternatively

5. Payment
Ÿ
Annual passes only available payable over 10 equal months, payments by post dated cheques, this must be received by
us by the 19th day of August, failure to do so will result in travel being refused due to demand in services.

There are two price structures Years 7/8/9/10 one level.
Ÿ
Years 11/12/13 this level gives a discount to allow for exams and work experience periods albeit work experience
happens in year 10, see price list for details.
Ÿ

Students must show passes on boarding and then retain them in a safe place, failure to do so will result in travel being
refused. Replacement passes are £5.00
Ÿ
Any misuse of passes will result in a formal warning from the Company and the Academy and may ultimately result in
students being banned from the service.
Ÿ
South Gloucestershire Bus and Coach Company Limited will issue all relevant information through the Academy via
display board in reception area and via Tech Talk. Drivers will also issue reminders and information when requested.

Any cheques returned by bank will be subject to a £5.00 surcharge
6. Travel Alteration
Ÿ
It has been brought to our attention that from time to time students request that they be dropped off at places other than
their boarding/set down point; these requests will be honoured, albeit the Company accept no responsibility for these
changes. Requests have also been made by some students to travel on different routes for various reasons, these
requests will be at the discretion of the Company/drivers due to coaches being near to full capacity and passes being
route numbered.
