Progression Walk
Walk description
Explore Sedgley and its varied surroundings with these walks (sometimes with
uneven or steep footing). Walks take approximately 3 hours including a 30
minute lunch break at a local pub, where participants can eat their own food
but are asked to purchase drinks.

Schedule of progression walks
10 April 2017 – Coseley Tunnel
Over the Beacon Hill and down to the canal and through the tunnel. The flight of steps to
Coseley and more steps over Mons Hill. Lunch at The Brook.
25 April 2017 – The Greens (Please note this walk takes place on a Tuesday)
A special walk for the Dudley Walking Festival. To Stickley and Wrens Nest. Breaks at
The Chapel House and The Beacon Hotel.
8 May 2017 – Butterfly Walk
A walk out to Milking Bank and London Fields returning via the woodland trails of Cotwall
End. Refreshment break at the Meadow Lark and lunch at the Old Bulls Head.
12 June 2017 – Cotwall End and Baggeridge
A strenuous walk over several hills. Lunch at The Woodman.
10 July 2017 – Seven Streams
A new woodland route for the easiest of the Sedgley Walks. Lunch at the Bulls Head.
28 August 2017 – Beacon Hill
Paths and alleyways to Penn Common, Lunch in The Woods and a climb over the Beacon
Hill. Refreshments at The Beacon Hotel.

31 August 2017 – Summer Stroll (Please note this walk takes place on a Thursday)
A fairly easy stroll over farmland, woods and the golf course. Lunch at The Stags Head.
11 September 2017 – Coseley Tunnel
Over Mons Hill through Coseley to the canal tunnel and a climb over the Beacon Hill.
Refreshments at The Park Inn.
