Your Visa Credit or ATM/Debit card could still be blocked

USING YOUR VISA CREDIT OR ATM/DEBIT CARDS DURING TRAVEL
Mid-Kansas Credit Union will make every effort to ensure that your Visa Credit Card or ATM/Debit card will function
properly during the course of your domestic and foreign travel. However, there are a few things that we would like you
to be aware of.

Certain countries have been blocked by Visa from Credit card or Debit/ATM card use.
(Please consult with one of our representatives to verify if the countries you are traveling to are on the blocked
countries list)

We have also blocked our Debit/ATM cards for use in certain areas of the United States due to excessive
fraudulent activity stemming from these areas. (Letting us know that you will be traveling and the locations you
will be traveling to before your departure date will allow us to unblock your card in any areas you may wish to
use it.)

Although we do have the ability to unblock your card for use in foreign countries it is still possible that you might
experience difficulties with using your card.

Your Visa Credit or ATM/Debit card could still be blocked due to suspected fraud as our card processor’s fraud
monitoring system will be continuously working to protect you and your card from fraud. (Debit card fraud line
at Shazam (866)-508-2693 or Lost/Stolen Debit card (800)-383-8000. Visa Credit card fraud line (866)-3341048.)

Some countries, especially in Europe, require a chip in their cards that we do not currently offer on our debit
cards. This requirement could make it impossible to use your debit card even though we are able to unblock your
card for use in these countries. Mid-Kansas Credit Union Visa
Credit Cards are now available chip-enabled. If you are planning to travel and would like to have a chipenabled Visa Credit card, please ask one of our representatives for an application. Please allow at least two
weeks for delivery of your card once your application has been approved.

It would be advisable to have alternate arrangements in place before departure due to this possibility.

Any time you decide to use your Credit or Debit/ATM card while traveling, you are increasing your risk of
experiencing fraud or theft of your card or your personal information. Please use caution when planning your trip
and while traveling to safeguard your card.

Letting us know in advance where and when you will be traveling can decrease your chances of experiencing
difficulties with using your card during your trip, but it does not guarantee that you will always be able to use
your card.

Please be aware that there are times when we are unable to resolve certain card issues that would require direct
communication with our card processor outside of their normal business hours. (During weekends, holidays, etc.)
(If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact one of our representatives and we would be happy to
assist you in any way that we can.)
