both destinations at its finest. See one of the largest water village settlements in the
world, beautiful gold domed mosques, untouched rainforest, proboscis monkeys and
other wildlife in Brunei. Discover Sabah with it’s fascinating wildlife including a river
cruise in search of the elusive proboscis monkeys, a scenic trek to the summit of Mt
Kinabalu, a visit to the orang utan rehabilitation centre and the exploration of Sabah’s
largest birds nest caves.

Itinerary
Day 1: Melbourne – Bander Seri Begawan. Fly from Melbourne to Bander Seri Begawan, on the
island of Borneo. Met and transferred to the hotel.
Accommodation: Brunei Hotel, Brunei – 3 nights
Day 2: Brunei City Tour & Proboscis Monkey Tour. Commence a morning Brunei City Tour
including, Royal Palace Istana Nurual Iman, Jame Asr’ Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, boat ride on the
Kampong Ayer (water village) and visit a local house for local delicacies, the Brunei Museum and the
Royal Regalia. In the afternoon, commence the Proboscis Monkey Tour. (B)
Day 3: Brunei. Day at leisure to explore the city or partake in some optional activities (own
expense). (B)
Day 4: Brunei – Kota Kinabalu. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Kota Kinabalu. Met and
transferred to the hotel.

Accommodation: Dreamtel Hotel, Kota Kinabalu – 1 night
Day 5: Kota Kinabalu – Sandakan – Selingan Island. Transfer to the airport for the flight to
Sandakan. Met and transferred to Selingan Island by boat. In the evening witness the endangered
green turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs, transfer of the eggs to the hatchery and release of
the hatchlings to the sea. (B,L,D)
Accommodation: Chalet, Selingan Island – 1 night
Day 6: Selingan Island – Sepilok – Sukau. Return to Sandakan by boat. Transfer to Sepilok
Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. After lunch, proceed to Sukau Rainforest Lodge and travel by
boat along the Kinabatangan River, with opportunity to view birds and wildlife in virgin mangrove,
wetland and rainforest habitats. (B,L,D)
Accommodation: Sukau Rainforest Lodge, Kinabatangan River – 2 nights
Day 7: Sukau Rainforest Lodge. Full day at Sukau Rainforest Lodge. Morning and afternoon
river cruises. (B,L,D)
Day 8: Sukau – Sandakan – Kota Kinabalu. Return to Sandakan. After lunch, visit Sandakan War
Memorial and proceed to Rainforest Discovery Centre. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Kota
Kinabalu. Met and transferred to the hotel. (B,L)
Accommodation: Dreamtel Hotel, Kota Kinabalu – 1 night
Day 9: Kota Kinabalu – Kinabalu National Park. Met and transferred to the Mt Kinabalu
National Park. Visit the Education Centre and Mountain Garden. (B,L,D)
Accommodation: Hill Lodge, Kinabalu National Park - 1 night
Day 10: Kinabalu National Park – Kota Kinabalu. Continue 40km overland journey to Poring
and visit Kipungit Waterfall and proceed to Kundasang Memorial Park before returning to Kota
Kinabalu.

Day 11: Kota Kinabalu. Day at own leisure to relax or partake in some optional activities (own
