Summer Tutoring
Thinking ahead to summer vacation, I am planning on being available to do some tutoring for
students. I am thinking of being here at
school 2 days a week, through most of the
summer, there will be some times at the end
of June and the end of July, that I will be on
vacation and will not be available. I can work
with students on math and reading to either
help them keep skills they have learned or remediation if necessary. If you are interested
please contact me and we can work out a
schedule, it can be for one day a week or it
can be for two. I will be charging $20.00 per
hour. The session will be one-one-one and is
available for all grade levels.

Board Nominee’s
Josh Doornbos
Spouse: Carrie Doornbos
Children: Kassidy (9th grade), Ainsley (7th grade), Jakin (3rd grade)
Church Membership: Grant Christian Reformed Church
Career: Insulation/Construction Contractor
Funny, annoying, smart are words that Josh’s kids use to describe him. Being
a board member is not necessarily a “fun” job, but GCS is a small, VERY family oriented school. I feel, as a parent, not only is it a desire to do the best I
can for my kids, but it’s also a calling from God to “raise them up in the way
they should go.” Serving on the GCS board is one way I can do that for not
jut my children, but others’ in the community as well.
Don Eenigenburg
Spouse: Glenna Eeingenburg
Children: Lara, Landon, Trevor (all grown, products of Grant Christian School
& 3 grandchildren)
Church Membership: Fremont First CRC
Career: Retired Engineer, Director GE Aviation Sys.
Independent, innovative & determined are three words to describe Don. I
feel I am at a position in life where I have experience, insight and time to
help a combination most people don’t have. I also fell Christian Education is
getting more and more important to help kids prepare for this very chaotic
world we live in.
James Evans
Spouse: Cameron Evans
Children: Ben (10) & Thomas (6)
Church Membership: Ravenna Free Methodist Church
Career: Mechanic
Christian, integrity & loyalty are three words James would use to describe
himself. I believe in the GCS school system. I am 100% invested to do whatever I can for not only the education and advancement of my children but
others as well. Thank you, Ji m
Ryan Folkema
Spouse: Sandy Folkema
Children: Cody (11), Kasey (9), Morgan (7), Brooklyn (4)
Church Membership: Grant Christian Reformed Church
Career: Farming
Passionate, committed & caring are three words that describe Ryan. I would
like to serve on the board because I have a long time involvement with the
school. Ryan would like to see the school grow.
Michael Padilla
Spouse: Corrie Padilla Children: Anna (13), Karina (12), Kori (9), Deziree
(7), Jamie (6), Julia (6), Samuel (10 months)
Church Membership: Bailey Christian Church
Career: Telecommunications—AT&T Cable Repair
Dedicated, hardworking & integrity are three words to describe Mike. Serving on the board is a way in which I can support our school not only for my
own children's’ sake, but for all families and the future of GCS. I take board
service seriously & prayerfully consider issues the board addresses without
relying on my own opinions or experience.
Jordan Tibbe
Spouse: Lisa Tibbe
Children: Presley (6) , Colton (4), Briggs (1)
Church Membership: Bailey Christian Church
Career: Building Supervisor
Efficient, organized & logical are three words Jordan would use to describe
himself. I care about the future of GCS as I see it’s place in the community as
vital.
