4-H FAIR EXHIBITS
DIVISION A - 4-H JUNIOR DIVISION
DIVISION B - 4-H INTERMEDIATE DIVISION
DIVISION C - 4-H SENIOR DIVISION
DIVISION D – 4-H CLOVERBUD
1. Each 4-H member will be limited to one (1) registration form of exhibits (maximum of 16 entries) with no more
than six (6) entries in one class, except for classes 11 and 16, where members are limited to only three (3) entries.
NO LIVE ANIMAL EXHIBITS WILL BE ACCEPTED IN THIS DEPARTMENT.
2. Exhibits should be the expression of what has been learned through a 4-H experience (such as a 4-H Club Meeting,
project, or other 4-H event or activity).
3. The member entering the exhibit must have completed the exhibit within the past 12 months.
4. Projects that do not meet Fair specifications will be awarded participation ribbons. A suitable exhibit is clean, neat, in
good condition and meets fair and class specifications listed in the rules. . Entry Forms should be submitted as soon
as possible. The deadline for submitting an entry form is one week before the Fair’s opening day. All exhibitors
who do not submit an entry form as specified may be allowed to display their exhibits only if space is available,
but they will not be judged or eligible for any award. All entries must be brought to the fairgrounds between 9am

- 4pm on Thursday, April 2 and must be in place and ready for viewing by noon, Friday, April 3 . Entries must

remain in place until close Saturday, April 11 and must be removed before 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 12 . No
vehicles will be allowed inside the Fairgrounds until the Fair is officially closed.
5. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Sweepstake winners will be chosen for each age division.
6. Special Best of Class ribbons will be awarded in Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Divisions to exhibits demonstrating
particular outstanding effort and quality in each class. Specific requirements and class limitations are listed in the On-line
Santa Rosa County fair book. Be reminded that 4-H members are limited to one (1) registration page (maximum of 16
exhibits).
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Sweepstake winners will be chosen for each age division.
Premiums will be paid as follows.
Cloverbud ( non competitive )
Junior
1st place- $30 and ribbon
2nd place- $15 and ribbon
3rd place- $10 and ribbon
Intermediate
1st place- $40 and ribbon
2nd place- $20 and ribbon
3rd place- $15 and ribbon
Senior
1st place- $50 and ribbon
2nd place- $30 and ribbon
3rd place- $20 and ribbon
CLASS 1: Horticulture
Harvested fruits and vegetables included (nuts WILL NOT be accepted). Small plants should be arranged in an
attractive display (i.e., hanging plant, dish garden, terrarium or container garden).
CLASS 2: Clothing Construction
CLASS 3: Sewing
Examples of sewing exhibits include pillows, tote bags, aprons, duffle bags, sewn accessories, and
machine quilting. This category DOES NOT include crochet or knitting (see class 4: Needlework)
CLASS 4: Needlework
Examples of credible needlework exhibits include: crocheting, knitting, embroidery, cross stitch, plastic canvas
and hand quilting.
CLASS 5: Baked Goods
CLASS 6: Canning
CLASS 7: Crafts
Entries in this class include: macramé, ceramics, handmade jewelry, candles, wreaths, silk florals, dried florals,
picture frames, holiday ornaments, etc.
CLASS 8: Hobbies, Collections and Architectural Models
Examples of credible hobbies and collections exhibits include: leaf collections, insect collections, stamp
collections, etc. Architectural Models. The Architectural Models project is designed to allow members to create 3dimensional models. These models should be constructed using blocks or similar pieces (i.e. Legos™).
CLASS 9: Fine Arts
Examples of credible fine arts exhibits include: paintings (watercolor, oils, acrylics), drawings (pencil, charcoal,
oil- pastels, and chalk), sculpture (wood, metal, clay, etc.), pottery (hand sculpted, coiled or wheel thrown), and
textile weaving.

CLASS 11: Posters (Limit of 3 entries)
CLASS 12: Tabletop Exhibits
CLASS 13: Scrapbooking
CLASS 14: Woodworking
CLASS 15: Special Project - Poetry
CLASS 16: Cloverbuds (Limit of 3 entries)
