1. PVA 2012/13 MEMBERS DIRECTORY
We would like to remind all PVA members that each member company is eligible for
two (2) complimentary copies of the PVA 2012/13 Directory and members can collect
the copies from Pn Intan.
For those (members and non-members) who would like to purchase the directories, the
price is RM25-00 per copy and receipts must be issued for the payment.
PVA would like to record its appreciation to Mr Thomas Lim of Proreka and En Mansor
Peaid, previously of Johnson Control for successfully producing the directory on behalf
of PVA.
2. FEEDBACK ON PROTON’S SAP COMPASS SYSTEM
Following the feedback from members on the Proton’s SAP COMPASS system that went
“on live” on 19 November 2012, PVA representatives met Proton’s team led by Tn Hj
Mohd Raziff Ahmad and Tn Hj Ahmad Sukri Hamidi on 7 January 2013 to resolve the
teething issues of the new system.
The meeting noted that all the issues raised on the warranty system are related to the
migration of claims from the old warranty system to COMPASS and not fresh claims
creation. For this category of claims affected by the migration to the new system,
Proton will grant concession on a “case by case” basis in the event vendors exceed the
14 days deadline. The general policy of vendors to process warranty claims within 14
days from submission will remain.
From the meeting, vendors are reminded that the recommended hardware and

Vendors who have issues on the issuance of Purchase Orders via COMPASS are to

PVA was informed that a number of vendors have not replied to Proton on the asbestosfree status. In this regard, vendors are urged to revert to Puan Zabeda of GTP

4. LATEST PUBLICATION OF PVA TATTLER
We have finalised the production of the latest issue of PVA’s official magazine, PVA
Tattler and will publish the latest issue in January 2013. The magazines will be circulated
to all major OEMs in Malaysia, foreign embassies, trade missions and relevant
government agencies.

5. MINIMUM WAGE GUIDELINES
We would like to remind members that the Minimum Wages Order has been gazetted
and will take into effect on 1 January 2013. At the industry level, PVA and other
associations are in the process of appealing to defer the implementation.
For more information on the Minimum Wages Order guidelines, please refer to
www.mohr.gov.my. The PVA EXCO member in charge of this issue is Pn Noraini Soltan.
